Hendy Group launches car rental service after successful pilot Karzoom

Hendy Group embraces the concept of flexible mobility solutions with the launch of its new Hendy Go short and long term car rental service.

The AM100 car retail group, which was named Used Car Dealer Group of the Year at last week’s 2021 AM Awards, has announced that it will offer rental customers a range of brands. and models from its dealers in Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Salisbury and Southampton through the new company.

Commercial Director Mark Busby said: “We have a dedicated website where customers can book their vehicle quickly and easily with specialists from our Hendy GO locations who can assist them with all aspects of a reservation.

“Our research suggests that customers enjoy dealing with the familiar name Hendy and are looking for convenient drop-off locations, transparent pricing and a secure booking and payment system that are at the heart of our Hendy GO offering. “

Powered by Karzoom, Hendy GO was officially rolled out across the group after a successful trial earlier this year.

Karzoom claims to allow dealers to earn additional income by making vehicles available for hire.

Vehicles are generally less than a year old and can be rented from one day to 60 days on an all-inclusive basis.

Reservations are processed online and the car can be picked up at the Hendy dealership selected by the driver or at the pick-up point of the customer’s choice.

Busby said, “At Hendy Group, we are always looking for ways to meet customer demand and provide the automotive services they want today and in the future.

“The investment in this new service reflects a trend of customers seeking flexible driving solutions, with car rental being an area of increasing demand. “

Earlier this year, data from Ebbon Intelligence, a new company that uses artificial intelligence to help customers manage their fleets more efficiently, suggested that half a million car owners plan to sell their cars. and rent them instead.

Ebbon Intelligence found that 453,461 planned to sell their cars this year to save money, while another 403,077 planned to sell their cars to help reduce the number of vehicles on the road in order to protect the environment.

Roger Noble, CEO and Founder of Zegami, said: “Renting instead of owning a car can save you a fortune and in some cases it can also mean that you are driving a better quality vehicle. “
